***Update 01/17/15 3:30 pm***

Good afternoon everyone. Thank you once again for all the wonderful messages and encouraging words you have shared either through text, FaceBook etc. They really have a powerful and positive impact on Alicia, Harper and the rest of his family. It is amazing to see all the pictures that surround Eric in his hospital room. Those photos show how many love him while demonstrating all the lives he has touched. We are all better people because of Eric.

Eric's stay at Sutter Roseville Medical Center is going well. He does remain in comatose state in the ICU but his last CT scan showed no additional swelling, so the ICP monitor has been removed. He is showing some movement and will periodically follow a simple command. For example, he was recently asked to give a thumbs up, to which he raised his right hand and gave one. Please keep in mind though that this occurs periodically. We continue to hope and pray that his healing persists in a positive direction. Alicia is amazed everyday with the Sutter Roseville medical staff and the incredible attention and care he is receiving at the facility.

You are all encouraged to come by and visit with family and friends. It was discussed today that even though this is a difficult time for Eric and his family, its been an unexpected blessing to spend extra time together with loved ones. Reflecting on Eric, sharing a few laughs and shedding some tears has been remarkable and has really helped move us all along this journey.
